Sensory 2.0 at the East Lansing Art Festival
Sensory 2.0 is an interactive installation that transforms an ordinary intersection into a creative experience by exploring the power that texture has to enliven a structure. As visitors amble through the installation, unexpected vertical lawns compel them to touch and feel the twirling, structural cubes. Sited to be experienced in the round, the column twists provide a unique view from every side, with no two views alike. Mobile cube benches, extensions of the stationary structure, allow visitors to create their own arrangements and personalize this pop-up space.
The installation demonstrates the capacity of contemporary architecture to transform space and captivate public imagination. It will be the central hub of the East Lansing Art Festival providing a highly visible interactive gathering place for the thousands of festival attendees.
