AIA NEI COVID-19 Update
To our Members, Partners and Friends,
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Health Organization, Centers for Disease Control, and federal, state, and local governments have advised, and in some cases mandated, limiting social interactions, minimizing gatherings, and working remotely until further notice for our health, safety, and the well-being of the general public. As officials ask the public to take unprecedented measures to control the spread of the virus, architects must remember our most important commitment: to improve and protect our communities.
Therefore, AIA Northeast Illinois will be joining with so many other organizations and businesses in moving operations to a remote platform and postponing ALL events through the end of April. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to AIA NEI’s management or Board and we will respond as soon as we can. We will update the Chapter as we deem necessary as events unfold in the coming weeks.
We encourage you to seek information from reliable and authoritative sources such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to determine the current risk assessment and to carry out mitigation protocols as needed.
Thank you for your understanding, stay well, and remember to help each other in this extraordinary time.
