About us

Our Mission:

To further the development of the architectural profession by fostering collegiality and networking among architects in our region, supporting professional licensure, ethical practice, the codes and regulations that govern the quality of the built environment, and community education and service to enhance the quality of life for all people.

Our History:

The Chesapeake Bay Chapter is a regional component of the American Institute of Architects, and was founded in 1965 to serve architects in eleven counties bordering Maryland's Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Read more about our founders and their vision.
