LEED v4: Product Declarations, Emissions & Impact on Paint & Coatings

AIA SW Wisconsin

Even if you have designed and certified many buildings under LEED 09 NC, you may be wondering what impact LEED v4 BD+C will have on selecting paints and coatings under the new guidelines. This course will help you navigate several of the changes, including new point calculations, categories and market sectors. You will also learn about advancements in coating technologies that allow for VOC compliance as well as performance benefits for the owner.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the importance of third--‐party certifications, such as UL/GREENGUARD, to help identify products that meet LEED v4 requirements.
