April Lunch Program
GreenTRIP, More Homes, Less Driving
11:30am arrive, lunch
11:45am Speaker Begins:
Nina Rizzo will present an overview of TransForm's GreenTRIP program which works with cities, developers and community members to support multifamily transit-oriented development so that communities are healthier and more affordable places to live, work and get around.
She will demonstrate the easy-to-use, free, connect-tool which predicts parking demand, vehicle miles traveled and greenhouse gas emissions.
Nina will also briefly explain GreenTRIP Certification, the Parking Database and recent policy wins.
Nina Rizzo has a Bachelors degree in geography from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Public Policy from Mills College. Her professional enthusiasm for transportation issues began when the Governor's Office of Planning and Research asked her to write a report on autonomous vehicles. She has used a car for only 2 of the 16 years she has lived in Berkeley/Oakland -- preferring public transit, bicycling and walking to her destinations. Currently her commute is a 1-mile walk and her favorite cartoon is Dilbert.
