Utah County Growth Projections through 2050
Shawn Elliot, Long-Range Transportation Planner with the Mountainland Association of Governments, will discuss recently updated population growth projections for Utah County along with transportation, infrastructure, and utility plans to accommodate that growth. He will also discuss historic and anticipated growth and development patterns.

Shawn Elliot, AICP, is a Program Manager in the Project Development Group at the Mountainland Association of Governments (MAG) in Orem, Utah. Shawn graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Geography and Urban Planning, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He has worked as a planner for the cities of Sandy and Elk Ridge and has been with MAG for the past 22 years.
Shawn is fascinated with geography, maps, urban issues, and transportation systems. He has lived in the Provo area since 1989 and has watched in awe and excitement as the area has changed and developed.
Shawn is originally from the Bay Area, Santa Clara, California. He now resides in Elk Ridge with his wife and five children.
