Transformational change is coming – are you ready to co-create a healthier, more prosperous future?
In April 2020 Dane County issued an ambitious and comprehensive economy-wide climate action plan (CAP). The CAP lays out strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from all sources by 50% by 2030 with the ultimate aim of net zero emissions by 2050.
Kathy Kuntz, Acting Director of the Dane County Office of Energy & Climate Change, will talk about the CAP and its implications for AIA members working in Dane County. In addition to learning about the County’s climate action efforts and the opportunities for the design community in that effort, the session will include time for discussion, questions and comments. County Executive Joe Parisi will have a brief review on the vision behind Dane County's efforts.
- List the key climate change trends already confronting Dane County and be able to identify at least three ways the design community can address those trends.
