AXP resources

The National Council of Architectural Registration Board's (NCARB) Architectural Experience Program (AXP), formerly the Intern Development Program (IDP), prepares you for a successful career in architecture.

After you establish your NCARB record, use your AIA transcript to track your AXP experience hours.

These resources will help you make the transition to a licensed professional.

Emerge by AIAU

Emerge by AIAU provides you with:

  • online video-based education courses, supplying knowledge that is not always available at firms
  • HSW courses on a number of topics including economics, ethics, and sustainability. New videos are in development and the series will continue to grow (Additional AIAU videos of interest to emerging professionals will supplement the series and change regularly to provide broad knowledge in support of AXP)
  • free access for Associate AIA members
  • discounted price of $25 for AIA members (anyone else may purchase the videos for $40)

If you're not an AIA member, you can track continuing education with an AIA intern transcript for one year.
