Top issue: Global practice
We are improving business conditions by facilitating fair trade and ensuring US firms stay competitive.
Our focus
Facilitating fair trade
Growing international markets require architectural expertise to meet their infrastructure needs. To tap into this opportunity, we help architects build relationships and explore new markets, such as through US Department of Commerce-sponsored trade missions.
We are also busy strengthening the odds for global success. We work behind the scenes with chapters, governments and NGOs worldwide to craft policies that improve our profession. And we equip members with resources for global involvement—including our International Practice Checklist.
Keeping US firms competitive
The US tax system can put firms at a competitive disadvantage in the international arena. We strive to level the playing field for businesses of all sizes by pushing for smarter decisions like retaining the Domestic Production Activities Deduction, which enhances our ability to compete and reduces our vulnerability to outsourcing.
