116th Congress archive

AIA’s federal policy initiatives are part of a larger, long-term effort to advocate in support of architects and the architectural profession. AIA focused much of the organization’s advocacy efforts during the 116th Congress (2019-2021) on federal policy to support architects and their firms through the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside key initiatives on climate action, affordable housing, equity, school safety, and design freedom, among others. While the 116th Congress has ended, AIA’s work continues. Please feel free to read more below about AIA’s advocacy efforts during the 116th Congress.
