President's Message

Welcome and Happy New Year to all AIA Montgomery Chapter Members and Affiliates. Thank you for your membership and for your support in 2019.

AIA Montgomery Members and Affiliates were able to make so many financial and educational contributions in our community last year through our art exhibition, Draw Montgomery, architectural scholarships to Auburn and Tuskegee University, donation of art easels to Booker T. Washington Magnet High School after a devastating fire, and our donation to the Landmarks Foundation to help preserve Central Alabama’s architecture. Our Board of Directors plans to continue our wonderful tradition of financial and educational giving in 2019.

AIA Montgomery is able to carry-out community contributions and chapter events through member volunteers and affiliates that make it happen. Come get to know our officers, members and affiliates by helping us to make it happen in 2019.

“There is no limit to the amount of good you can do if you don’t care who gets the credit.”  - Ronald Reagan

Please join us for our Past President’s luncheon, January 16that 11:30 at the Montgomery Country Club. We will honor AIA Montgomery past presidents with an open bar and time to socialize with past presidents, members and affiliates. I will present the incoming Executive Committee, the 2019 budget and upcoming events for the year.

Thank you for giving me the honor of serving you and for the opportunity of getting to know each member just a little bit better.

Happy New Year,

Jennifer W. Barber, AIA Montgomery President 2019
