We want to reach out to the community to help demonstrate how design matters in our everyday lives. In that vein, we are proud to host this competition to design and construct a collection of temporary interactive spaces within the City Center of Rochester, NY.

The goal of this competition is to create a series of interactive follies that encourage public engagement and in doing so, highlight the importance of architecture. Participating teams are to build upon a plinth provided by AIA Rochester, in which the design should be evocative of the most easily relatable form of architecture in Western Culture – the gabled house.

See the top right box on this page for Call for Entries and submission materials.  All proposals are due February 15, 2019.  Please contact AIA Rochester with any questions or concerns.
