The Building Enclosure Council works in cooperation with the National Institute of Science and Technology Building Enclosure Council (BEC) to bring together building professionals for the purpose of sharing ideas about building design | science and technology of materials.

The Committee on Design focuses on public outreach and collaborative efforts with a focus on good design is the focus of this committee. Juries and partnerships are considered while talent is recognized through Honor Awards and Special Awards.

The Conference Continuing Education Committee develop high-quality continuing education programs offered regularly throughout the year. Topics are selected and developed by members in order to address timely issues and to meet the diverse needs of our members. Policy criteria to be developed.

The Emerging Professionals Committee (EPC) provides an open forum for architecture professionals at the early stages of their careers to engage and connect through networking, leadership, and professional development. It also actively reaches out to architecture students to be a resource on entering the profession.

The Fellows Committee assists in recruiting and offering support to nominees of the AIA College of Fellows.

Government Affairs Committee
American Institute of Architects is the voice of the architectural profession and the resource for its members in service to society. AIA Nebraska is the voice of the architecture profession dedicated to serving its members; advancing their value; and improving the quality of the built environment. The (GAC) is responsible for reviewing legislation of interest, taking positions, developing relationships with Senators, assisting with bi-annual educational event and also selecting the AIA NE Senator of the Year award.
