Architectural Designer, AECOM Cleveland

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out tasks.
  • Working closely with a Senior Architect / Project Manager, independently preparing and presenting client focused design solutions to project team members.
  • Preparing contract drawings during all design phases
  • May coordinate and collaborate in activities with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally.
  • Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions
  • Develop and document details to communicate design intent
  • Edit specifications
  • Develop, adapt, or modify design features and details under the direction of a project manager, project designer, or project architect
  • Select and specify finish materials
  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets.
  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
  • May assist in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of four (4) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master of Architecture/Licensure strongly preferred
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Good communication skills

Intern Architectural Designer, AECOM Cleveland

  • Work closely with a Design Lead / Project Manager independently preparing and presenting client focused design solutions to project team members
  • Prepare contract drawings during all design phases
  • Coordinate and collaborate in activities with employees in other disciplines and departments, internally and externally
  • Prepare designs, renderings, sketches, diagrams, schematic and working drawings to illustrate design solutions

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Strong visual communication skills including hand sketching
  • Profciency with Revit, Adove Creative Suite, and Sketch Up
  • Experience with Rhino and Grasshopper
  • Experience working on all phases of architectural projects
  • Actively persuing licensure

Architectural Designer, Peninsula Architects

  • Produce conceptual plans, renderings, and associated documents
  • Plan and program project(s); coordinate and integrate engineering elements for client review and approval
  • Utilize computer-assisted design software • Produce documents and specifications for permit and construction
  • Working with (or as) a Project Manager, you may direct, supervise, and check activities of office staff engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents for the Programming, Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Document phases
  • Provide assistance to owners and contractors during construction
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously

Required Education and Experience include:

TC Architects has been in practice for over seventy years. We are a full-service architectural and interior design firm that has successfully completed projects locally, regionally, and nationally. Experience must include detailed developing of construction documents. Experience with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Revit.

LEED Accreditation is a plus.
