The Small Business 2020 Program provides funds to Wisconsin-based Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) to make grants of up to $20,000 to existing loan clients to mitigate short-term cash flow issues and protect jobs and public health in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.

  • AIA Re-occupancy Assessment Tool & WEDC Reopen GuidelinesAIA Wisconsin members are encouraged to monitor local requirements and utilize the new AIA Re-occupancy Assessment Tool and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) Reopen Guidelines for your own office and in advising your clients.AIA Re-occupancy Assessment Tool provides architects, clients and civic leaders a framework of strategies for reoccupying buildings and reopening businesses. The tool includes baseline parameters for re-occupancy; architectural and engineering strategies for site and site arrival, building envelope, fixtures and furnishings, plumbing and HVAC; administrative policies and procedures to reduce the spread of pathogens and support physical distancing; and policies and procedures related to PPE.AIA leaders will be expanding on the Re-occupancy Assessment Tool – modifying and adding recommendations unique to varying building types. Madison architect Janine Glaeser, AIA, is the vice chair of the AIA Disaster Assistance Committee, which helped to create this new tool.The WEDC Reopen Guidelines offer industry-specific documents to help reopen businesses while taking the necessary precautions to maximize safety. The WEDC Reopen Guidelines for Professional Services address commercial spaces occupied by professional services firms, including rethinking workspaces, client traffic, delivery procedures and facility management practices.
