The Pathways Program lets architects join the community in teaching the power and benefit of architects to youth programs in the area.

The goal of AIA Pathways is to open up the profession and the Architect’s toolkit to students, facilitating opportunities to engage with and learn about the profession. Establish a consistent presence as a resource for school programming with the intent to nurture pipelines to the profession and enhance awareness of how design affects the world around us.

We are currently working with Riverside Development Group to establish a STEAM afterschool program that will be located in the Berry Temple at 39 College Street in Asheville. Students will come from K-12 public schools in the area and the AIA will lead an Architecture module of learning with a focus on 6-8th grade students. Programming will occur once a week between 3-6:00pm.
