The Mariposa Land Port of Entry is one of the busiest land ports in the United States. It serves as the main port of entry for fresh produce entering the United States from Mexico and the primary produce distribution point on the southern border. As one of GSA’s largest American Recovery and Reinvestment Act projects, expansion and modernization of the port aids CBP in more effectively performing their mission by improving efficiency, security, and safety for officers and the traveling public. The project is also expected to have significant impact on the local economy and job creation in the area.
"This is an important project which demonstrates the result of thoughtful and principled engagement in an incredibly complex and often misunderstood asset class."-Jury Comment
