Last updated: August 8, 2025

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by the Continuing Education Services (“CES”) program terms & conditions set by The American Institute of Architects (“AIA”).
- Provider eligibility and compliance
By submitting your application, you affirm satisfaction of all eligibility requirements per the Standards for Continuing Education Programs.
Provider further agree to:
-Adhere to and comply with all policies, procedures, and requirements outlined in the AIA Standards for Continuing Education Programs;
-Ensure that employees, agents, and contractors involved in AIA CES activities adhere to these terms, accepting full responsibility for any breaches;
-Use your assigned AIA CES Provider Number exclusively and not share it; and
-Provide truthful and accurate application information. - Quality assurance and auditing
Provider understands and agrees that AIA may conduct periodic or random quality audits of your CES programs; non-compliance may lead to removal from the CES Program and forfeiture of all subscription fees; and Provider must remain in good standing to offer programs for AIA continuing education credit. - Provider responsibilities
As a CES Provider, Provider shall offer course evaluations to attendees; provide certificates of completion upon attendee request; and retain course materials and attendee records for a minimum of three (3) years. - Good standing requirements
To maintain good standing, Provider must maintain current AIA CES accreditation; maintain an appropriate AIA CES provider subscription; and comply with all AIA CES standards and policies. - Annual subscription fee
By enrolling, Provider agree to pay an annual subscription fee covering the calendar year (January 1 – December 31), due upon subscription activation. All fees are non-refundable, except under Section 7: Right of Termination by AIA. - Provider catalog participation & advertising consent
Provider acknowledge that your CES offerings may be listed in the AIA CES Provider Catalog. By agreeing to these terms, Provider grant AIA permission to include your organization’s name, offerings, and contact information in the catalog, solely for limited advertising and promotional purposes. - Right of termination by AIA
AIA may terminate this Agreement immediately if the actions or communications of the Provider materially misalign with AIA’s mission or values, or otherwise cause reputational harm to AIA. In the event of such termination, AIA will issue a prorated refund of the annual subscription fee, calculated by dividing the number of unused months remaining in the calendar year by twelve (12) and multiplying that figure by the annual fee. - Use of AIA marks and name
AIA grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to the AIA marks outlined in the CES Standards in strict adherence to all brand guidelines outlined. Provider may not use any other AIA names, logos, or trademarks, or imply AIA endorsement, without prior written permission from AIA’s Office of General Counsel (generalcounsel@aia.org). - Instructional standards & compliance
Provider shall at all times adhere to the Standards for Continuing Education Programs, including, but not limited to, prior review and approval of each CES learning program; maintaining accuracy, currency, adult learning principles, assessments, marketing disclosures, instructor qualifications, and proper reporting as detailed in the Standards. - Acknowledgment and agreement authority
By submitting payment, the individual completing the transaction affirms that they have the authority to enter into this Agreement on behalf of the Provider organization, and that the Provider has read, understands, and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
