GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION: Provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities to ensure the efficient day-today operations of the salesperson.

CORE & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Review sales orders to ensure that the products ordered, and the associated quantities, meet the requirements of a project. • Provide high-quality customer service to accounts that have questions regarding their invoices. by means of phone calls and emails. • Provides follow-up reports to show job progression. • Enter sales orders as they are received via telephone and email and communicate with the salesperson regarding order status and delivery dates. • Generate customer invoices to accurately bill products and quantities shipped promptly. • Prepares neat and accurate reports, data collection, and data samples while adhering to salesperson’s requirements in conformity with company procedures. • Assist salesperson with work overloads by completing typing, filing, or any other duties as necessary. • Inventories, stores, and maintains photographic supplies and equipment. • Any and all required administrative duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of at least a high school diploma or GED is required and a post-secondary degree is preferred. Must possess excellent skills in math, writing, public relations and communication, both written and oral. Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions. Possesses strong organizational skills. Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Ability to multi-task in a detailed oriented team environment. Must work effectively with divergent types of people. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. Experience using CAD and Visio software is preferred. Must have the ability to learn and utilize various software systems. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. use of protective gear). Must have the ability to travel domestically via operating a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver license and driving record.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate orally in a clear, concise and effective manner with the customers, account representatives, company representatives, management, staff, and the public in face-to-face, one-on-one and group settings. Ability to use a telephone for communication. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance at the facility. Use office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and facsimile machines. Sit or stand for extended time periods. Hearing and vision required to be within normal ranges. Carry, push, pull, reach and lift up to 15 lbs. Read at, above, and below shoulder height. Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch. Sufficient manual dexterity required to operate equipment and office tools. Normal range of tolerance to household and other types of typical industrial/ construction chemicals and solvents.

The Science, Mathematics and Engineering Division invites applications for an Annually Contracted Faculty position in Architectural Technology in the Built Environment department that will begin August 2023.

Annually Contracted Faculty (ACF) appointments are full-time, temporary positions limited to one academic year. Appointments are not automatically awarded for subsequent years, but rather, are awarded on a year-by-year basis at the sole discretion of Sinclair Community College.

Principal Accountabilities            

·         Plan and organize instruction in ways which maximize student learning

·         Prepare, distribute and submit syllabi for all assigned sections in accordance with department and divisional policies

·         Employ appropriate teaching and learning strategies, use available instructional technology when appropriate

·         Modify, where appropriate, instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student’s needs

·         Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success

·         Evaluate and return student work in a timely manner to promote learning

·         Maintain accurate records of student progress

·         Submit final grade rosters according to established deadlines

About the Role:

Recent College Graduate / BIM Technician

We are looking for a technologically fluent Recent College Graduate or BIM Technician to assist in the development of 3d Revit Models and Visualizations.

This role is primarily focused on document and visualization production utilizing Revit and Lumion.   We expect this position to work collaboratively with the architects and other designers in the firm to develop construction details, BIM model set-up and management, Autodesk 360 collaborations, and final construction documents.    This role can either be tailored to a recent college graduate looking for experience in the field of architecture or someone trained to specifically be a BIM Technician.  

Skills and Activities

·         Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Associates Degree in Architectural Technology

Responsibilities

The Zoning Administrator interprets and enforces all provisions of the City of Dayton's Zoning Ordinance, which involves supervising and coordinating the day to day implementation of the City's comprehensive land use plan and zoning controls applicable to the development, redevelopment, and use of all land as well as the continued use and/or reuse of existing buildings and improvements within the City. The incumbent carries out supervisory responsibilities which include: interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees. The Zoning Administrator must develop a complete knowledge and command of the Zoning Ordinance and the legal principles and technical aspects of it's interpretation and enforcement.

1.   Ensuring that all applications and plans submitted for a zoning certificate meet applicable requirements.

2.   The review of zoning and occupancy certificates and the maintenance of appropriate records.

5.   Establishing and directing enforcement programs to ensure the voluntary abatement or prosecution of zoning violations.

Bachelor's degree from a college approved by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) AND 5 years of experience in land use planning, zoning administration, building regulations, architectural or engineering services.

OR

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Urban Planning AND 6 years of experience in land use planning, zoning administration, building regulations, architectural or engineering services AND must obtain an American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification within 18 months or appointment as a term and condition of continued employment.

License Requirements:

Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Universities or equivalent region.

• Perform all phases of architectural design

• Research and work on all types of projects

• Engage in location specific zoning and building code analysis

• Learn proper architectural, BIM and PS&S QA/QC protocols
