WASHINGTON – June 8, 2026 – The American Institute of Architects (AIA) will welcome more than 5,000 architects and design professionals to San Diego for the AIA Conference on Architecture & Design® 2026 (AIA26) taking place at The San Diego Convention Center, June 10-13, 2026. The event will convene professionals across the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry to network, share knowledge, and find solutions to design a better world.
AIA is committed to driving progress throughout the architecture and design industry, and this conference brings that mission to life. Through networking opportunities, educational sessions, curated events, guided tours, and the industry's largest expo, the event is built to spark meaningful collaboration. Attendees will dive into the topics shaping the profession's future — from net zero energy and adaptive reuse in revitalizing downtowns to the growing role of AI and the push to design healthier buildings that strengthen communities.
