Teach product-specific CE
New for 2027! AIA continuing education providers can now offer product-specific learning programs (PSLPs) focused on the performance and application of proprietary products.
Give architects and design professionals the technical insight they need to confidently specify your products in their projects around the world.

What is a product-specific learning program?
Unlike traditional product-neutral CE, PSLPs are live and on-demand courses focused on the attributes, applications, and performance of proprietary products, materials, systems, or technologies.
PSLPs are educational programs, not sales presentations. Content must remain neutral, balanced, and free from promotion to help architects make informed, objective decisions.

Who can offer a PSLP?
Product-specific learning programs are available exclusively to AIA CE providers. Not a provider yet? Join and get unmatched access to 101,000+ architecture professionals.
How to offer product-specific CE
To qualify for AIA continuing education credit, all PSLPs must meet the requirements outlined in the AIA Standards for Continuing Education Programs.
1. Complete the required compliance training
All PSLP course authors and instructors must complete AIA’s PSLP compliance training before developing or delivering courses.
- Training fee: $100 for AIA members, $150 for non-members
- Renewal: Required every three years
- Recognition: Instructors receive a Credly digital badge to share in their professional credentials and marketing materials

2. Develop objective, educational content
Courses must prioritize learning over promotion. Content should be neutral, balanced, and focused on helping architects understand product performance, applications, and technical considerations.
Proprietary information may be included when it directly supports the course’s learning objectives.
3. Submit your course for review—coming soon!
All PSLPs must undergo an enhanced review process before receiving AIA CE approval.
Providers must submit all instructional materials, including slide decks, scripts, videos, handouts, assessments, and other core learning content.
Course review fee: $350
CE providers will be able to submit PSLPs for review in early 2027. Keep an eye out for updates on your CE provider dashboard.
4. Disclose product-specific content
To maintain transparency, instructors must disclose that the course is a PSLP and whether they stand to benefit financially from the products or services discussed.
These disclosures help architects understand the context of the education they’re receiving.

CE providers will be able to submit PSLPs for review on their CE provider dashboards starting in early 2027.
In 2026, AIA piloted PSLPs with two AIA Corporate Partners on AIAU. These courses demonstrate how manufacturers can deliver technical education focused on the performance and application of their products.
You must first become an AIA CE provider. Once enrolled, you can complete the required PSLP training and submit courses for review.
