CRAN Symposium 2026 registration is now open
The AIA Custom Residential Architect Network (CRAN®) Symposium 2026 is happening September 23-26 in San Antonio, Texas. This year, we’ll explore LEGACY—the lasting influence of place, design, and the people who have shaped San Antonio’s rich and vibrant residential architecture.
The annual CRAN Symposium brings together residential architects and allied professionals from across the country, including firm leaders, emerging professionals, builders, product suppliers, and sponsors. The symposium provides opportunities to network, share ideas, and gain insights into the ever-changing residential markets. After all, architecture is a practice of continuous learning, and there is always something new to discover.
Join CRAN for three days of curated seminars, inspiring home tours, special networking events, and an innovative vendor showcase. Highlights include:
- A conversation with AIA EVP/Chief Executive Officer Carole Wedge, FAIA, on AIA’s priorities for residential architects and the essential role they play in creating homes that improve lives and communities.
- A roundtable with local architects sharing firsthand experiences designing their own homes.
- Exploration of the legacy of Western architecture, from Bauhaus influences and indigenous materials to the rugged climate and terrain that helped form a distinctive architectural aesthetic.
- Insights from builders on the realities of constructing custom residential projects.
- Emerging trends and innovations in building technology, AI, landscape design, lighting, and more.
- A vendor showcase featuring innovative products and systems unique to residential practice.
Whether you’re seeking new ideas, practical knowledge, or meaningful new connections, the CRAN Symposium offers an unparalleled opportunity to broaden your perspective, strengthen your practice, and explore the legacy of residential architecture in San Antonio.
