Isabel Cristina Ferreira de Souza, Assoc. AIA, is a senior project designer at PMBA Architects whose work reflects a commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and inclusive practice. With experience in Brazil and the United States, she brings a global perspective to her work and supports teams in delivering thoughtful, community-centered design.
Souza has played a key role in developing opportunities for emerging professionals, including leading initiatives that support mentorship, knowledge sharing, and career development within her firm. Her leadership extends to organizations such as Arquitina and the Immigrant Architects Coalition, where she supports women and internationally trained professionals in navigating the profession.
An active AIA member, Souza contributes to local and state initiatives focused on public awareness, education, and engagement. She is also dedicated to mentoring students and introducing young people to architecture, helping to expand pathways into the profession.
