Program FAQ
Architecture firms, universities, and government agencies with 10 or more Architect or Associate members are eligible to enroll, including AIA Large Firm Roundtable member firms.
Participating firms get streamlined membership management, including:
- A single annual invoice for all enrolled members
- Concierge onboarding and year-round support
- A free 30-day job board listing on the AIA Career Center
- Recognition on AIA.org
- Complimentary National Allied memberships (based on firm size)
- Access to group pricing and special promotions
No. Participating organizations are not enrolled in auto-renewal. Each fall, the firm’s designated point of contact (POC) will review and confirm the roster of participating employees. That roster is then used to calculate the firm’s group invoice.
Yes. Participating organizations may be eligible to split their total dues into manageable payments over the course of the year. Just let the membership team know during enrollment to set this up.
Yes. New grads can be included and count toward your enrollment total. Memberships are individual and calculated using the best value based on all existing promotions. For eligible new grads, membership is free for up to 18 months.
Enrolled firms receive free National Allied memberships at enrollment, based on the total number of members enrolled:
- 10-24 Enrolled members: 1 Complimentary National Allied membership
- 25-49 Enrolled members: 2 Complimentary National Allied memberships
- 50-74 Enrolled members: 3 Complimentary National Allied memberships
- 75-99 Enrolled members: 4 Complimentary National Allied memberships
- 100+ Enrolled members: 5 Complimentary National Allied memberships
Each participating firm receives a dedicated point of contact—your concierge—for personalized assistance throughout the year. Services include:
- Onboarding support for new members
- Regular updates on key AIA opportunities (e.g., calls for volunteers, conference registration)
- Help updating member records (e.g., title changes, new licenses)
- Direct communication—no anonymous inboxes
- Guidance on programs and resources tailored to your firm
AIA membership is owned by the individual, not the firm. If an employee leaves, they retain their membership through the end of the calendar year (e.g., 12/31/2025).
New employees can be added on a rolling basis, but the primary enrollment period takes place in late summer/early fall, similar to traditional benefits open enrollment.
