Resolutions
AIA members may submit a resolution which is a formal request from the membership to the Board of Directors to take particular action.

The delegates at the 2026 AIA Annual Meeting will be asked to consider resolutions that require approval by a majority vote of the delegates present and voting.
The deadline for submission is Friday, February 27, 2026 (5pm ET). The text of the proposed resolutions will be available no later than April 24, 2026.
Anyone can write a resolution, but it must be properly sponsored in accordance with the Rules of the Board before it is submitted to the Resolutions Committee. The Resolutions Committee verifies the sponsorship, reviews the resolution, and may edit it for clarity or combine it with another similar resolution in consultation with the designated sponsor.
