About the event
Join The American Institute of Architects at the AIA Global Campus for Architecture & Design® for an evening with Carl Elefante, FAIA—one of the profession’s leading voices on sustainability, preservation, and climate action.
Centered on his latest book, Going for Zero, this conversation explores how architects can lead in addressing the climate crisis through decarbonization, adaptive reuse, and resilient urban design. Known for the powerful idea that “the greenest building is the one already built,” Elefante brings a compelling perspective on how we rethink growth, value existing buildings, and design for a more sustainable future.
Elefante will be joined by Rick Schneider, FAIA, and Mary Kay Lanzillotta, FAIA, for a dynamic discussion on the role of architecture in shaping equitable, climate-responsive communities.
The program will include an audience Q&A, followed by a light reception and book signing in the AIA Design Shop.
Admission is free, but pre-registration is required. Donations are welcome at sign-up.
