Our House

Design problem
AIA Fort Worth is proud to showcase the work of talented high school students from across North Texas. These young designers have poured their imagination and effort into projects exploring architecture and the built environment. Each entry should reflect originality, a thoughtful design process, and strong presentation—offering a glimpse into the next generation of architecture.
Student solution
Inspired by Crosby, Still, Nash & Young's "Our House," the featured architectural design represents a contemporary, modernistic residence of the 1970s. With a vision of walnut framing and warm tones throughout the home, paired with gabled, wide eaves and trapezoidal, large windows, the structure aims to capture the era of 1970s architecture in the U.S. The classic folk ballad describes a quiet, content moment of bliss while surrounded by the cozy elements of a home.
