Join AIA as an Associate member
AIA is the largest, most influential network of architects and design professionals who are designing a better world. Find out how you can become an Associate member of AIA.
The power of belonging here
AIA is where architects, design professionals, and the AEC community come together to network, celebrate, collaborate, socialize, grow, and shape the future. We’re a community of passionate individuals bound by shared values, standards, and ethics. Most importantly, we’re a community united by a shared drive to design a better world, together.
Membership at the Associate level is open to people with a professional degree in architecture, those working under an architect or enrolled in AXP, or faculty.
Members use the AIA member designation after their name, which is a standard of excellence recognized by clients, the public, architecture and design professionals, and the AEC industry.
The member designation used by Associate members is “Assoc. AIA.” Learn more about how to use it and what it means to the industry.
